
Harri Kalimo
Director of Research Centre
Harri Kalimo is a professor and the Co-Director the 3E (Environment, Economy and Energy) Research Centre at the Brussels School of Governance. Trained as a lawyer (LL.D; LL.M) and an economist (M.Sc. Econ & BA), Harri teaches in the BSoG’s two post-graduate programmes: the LLM in International and European Law (”PILC”) and the M.Sc. in European Integration (EuroMaster). He also holds a part-time professorship at the University of Eastern Finland (Environmental and Economic Law). Before his academic career, Harri held managerial and legal positions in Nokia Corporation.
Harri’s research interests are on European and international environmental and economic law and policy, with a particular focus on the intersections between these two areas, such as the circular economy, sustainable trade and green public procurement. Harri’s objective as an educator is to offer an inspirational and versatile combination of theory-based, practically topical, pedagocically innovative, genuinely interdisciplinary teaching.
