The Circular Economy at the intersections of private and public law – Keynote by Prof Kalimo 7 October

On Thursday 7 October, Prof Harri Kalimo from the 3E Research Centre delivered a key note speech in a Circular Economy event co-organised by the Academy of Finland and Tampere University, amongst others. The event launched to an audience of around 100 business and civil society actors the policy brief of Project CICAT titled “The Circular Economy requires smooth contracts”. In his speech, Prof Kalimo was reflecting on the positioning of the circular economy at the intersections of private and public law. “I congratulate the project for the publication of the policy brief, which takes up the little-discussed issue of the private law contracts in supporting a more circular economy”, he noted.
