FAQ

  • Participants must attend at least 70% of the Summer School programme in order to obtain their Summer School certificate. Should participants not be in a position to attend 70% of the programme, they need to complete an extra written task.
  • Participants attending less than 50% of the programme do not meet the criteria to receive their certificate and the relevant 5 ECTS will not be granted.
  • Attendance of the programme must be spread across both weeks of the Summer School.
  • Any absence must be notified to the Summer School team and justified (e.g. medical certificate, etc.).

The Summer School on EU Policy Making is officially accredited through the VUB and corresponds to 5 ECTS.

In case of cancellation before the start of the programme:

  • Before 1 May: any tuition fees will be reimbursed, except the pre-registration fee of 400 EUR
  • After 1 May: no reimbursement

The pre-registration fee is non-refundable, unless cancellation in a programme is due to events beyond the control of the applicant, otherwise known as force majeure (for example for medical reasons). In those cases, the full pre-registration fee will be refunded.

The Brussels School of Governance will grant one full tuition fee waiver to one student of the Summer School programme. This waiver will be attributed on the basis of merit and motivation, and will in general, but not exclusively, be granted to a student from a partner country neighbouring the EU. If you think you may be eligible for the waiver, you will need to provide the following supporting documents as part of your application to the programme:
