Yijia Huang

Senior Associate Researcher

Yijia Huang is a senior associate researcher in the Research Centre for Migration, Diversity and Justice of the Brussels School of Governance. She is also a lecturer in English at Hunan Normal University, China.

She obtained her doctor’s degree in Political Science at BSoG-VUB in August 2022. Her PhD dissertation is entitled ‘The Effects of Identity on Political and Civic Participation – A Study on Moroccan Belgian Youth’. Her research interests include immigrant integration policies, discrimination, identity, and youth political participation.

She holds a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Sichuan University, China. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a double bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Sichuan University, China.
