Stefano joined the Brussels School of Governance as adjunct professor for the course Introduction to International Legal History and Theory.
He is also a postdoctoral researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), his project being financed by a Carlsberg Foundation grant. He has previously worked as a research assistant at Aalborg University (Denmark) and has been a visiting researcher in the Netherlands and Norway. He holds a Ph.D. in law awarded by Aarhus University (Denmark) and a master’s degree in law cum laude from the University of Trento (Italy).
His research focuses on the historical development of public international law, with a special focus on its maritime dimension and the Early Modern Age.
