Salvo Nicolosi

Adjunct Professor

Salvo Nicolosi is an Adjunct Professor of International and European Migration and Asylum Law in the LL.M. in International and European Law at the Brussels School of Governance. In addition, he works as Senior Lecturer in European and International Law at Utrecht University Law School, where he also leads the Building block on Citizenship and Migration within the Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe (RENFORCE) and coordinates the LL.M. programme in European Law. Salvo is also a Fellow at the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) and a Member of the Steering Committee of the Utrecht Focus Area on Migration and Societal Change and an active member of the Utrecht Centre for Global Challenges (especially within the MIGROBAL project). Salvo has been also appointed as Senior Research Associate at the Programme for Studies on Human Rights in Context of Ghent University (Belgium) and included in the List of legal experts of the EU Agency for Asylum (EUAA).

Salvo defended his PhD at La Sapienza University of Rome and his research combines expertise in the domains of European law, international human rights law and international refugee law, with particular attention to the development of the Common European Asylum System.
