Max Eriksson

Associate Researcher

Max Eriksson is an Associate Researcher with the Brussels School of Governance at VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel). He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from Umeå University (Sweden) in 2017. Dr. Eriksson is not currently teaching any regular classes at VUB but is well-versed in quantitative methods, survey experiments, and environmental politics.

In terms of research, Max is interested in the interplay between individual-level political behavior, public opinion, and institutional design. He is particularly interested in issues related to political polarization, and much of his research is dedicated to understanding how environmental conflicts over natural resources can contribute to political alienation and aggravate political conflicts between urban and rural areas.
