Matilde Perotti is a research assistant at the Centre for Migration, Diversity and Justice (CMDJ) at the Brussels School of Governance. Matilde holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations and Global Affairs from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan and a double master's degree in Migration Studies from Maastricht University & the United Nations University - MERIT. In the coming months, Matilde will assist the Center in the coming-up project against racism and inequality in higher education in Belgium.

Prior to joining the Center, Matilde worked on a range of issues for refugees and asylum seekers in Greece with the NGO Northern Lights Aid in Kavala and Refugee4Refugees in Samos. Matilde's research interests focus on EU policies related to the reception of migrants, and in particular the living conditions of the most vulnerable groups within European Reception Centers.
