Marco Giuli

PhD Researcher

Marco Giuli is a PhD Researcher in the Environment and Sustainable Research Centre at the Brussels School of Governance. Marco holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and a MA in Economics and Politics of European Integration from the University of Bologna. In addition to this, he was Research Fellow at the Madariaga-College of Europe Foundation, Visiting Researcher at the Centre of European Policy Studies, and trainee at the Italian National Institute for Foreign Trade. Marco was an independent consultant on EU energy policy, and contributed with op-eds, articles, and teaching activities to external specialized reviews and training programmes of universities, specialised training institutes, and business associations. 

Marco’s research focuses on the external dimension of EU energy and climate policy, international governance of energy, climate policy integration, international political economy of energy, and energy poverty. He is also a Policy Analyst at the European Policy Centre, where he coordinates the EPC Climate and Energy Platform.
