Marco Giuli

PhD Researcher

Marco Giuli is a PhD Researcher in the Environment and Sustainable Research Centre at the Brussels School of Governance. In addition, he is a Scientific Advisor with the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) in Rome, and Associate Policy Analyst at the European Policy Centre in Brussels, where he led the EPC Climate and Energy Platform between 2015 and 2019. Prior to this, he was Research Fellow ad Project Manager at the Madariaga-College of Europe Foundation. Marco holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and a MA in Economics and Politics of European Integration from the University of Bologna. Marco speaks frequently on EU energy and climate issues at public events, is hosted on international media outlets including BBC, Politico, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera and contributes with op-eds for a number of outlets specialized in international affairs.  

Marco’s research focuses on the external dimension of EU energy and climate policy, the international politics and governance of energy, and climate policy integration.
