Marc Ringel

Visiting Fellow

Marc Ringel is a Visiting Fellow at the Brussels School of Governance. Marc studied economics at the University of Mainz, Germany, and Angers, France. In addition to this, he holds a PhD in economics from the Technical University of Chemnitz, Germany. Marc Ringel worked as policy officer at the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission and deputy head of unit “Energy Efficiency” with the German federal ministry for energy and economics. 

As a guest researcher at the Brussels School of Governance, he will focus on analyzing the governance, stakeholder views and political impacts of the European 2030 climate and energy framework. Marc is presently full professor for energy economics and policy at Nuertingen Geislingen University and lecturer at Université Aix-en-Provence-Marseille.
