Laura De Grève

Laura De Grève is lecturer in the course Humanitarian Law of the Brussels School of Governance, together with Nele Lauwers. Laura has been working on International Humanitarian Law at the Belgian Red Cross-Flanders since 2012, first as IHL dissemination officer and now as head of International Humanitarian Law and Volunteer Coordination. 

She obtained a Master degree in Political Sciences-International Politics from the University of Ghent, followed by a Master after Master in International and European Law from the University of Brussels (VUB). 

In her role at the Belgian Red Cross-Flanders, she works to disseminate International Humanitarian Law towards various target audiences and to support the authorities in the implementation of International Humanitarian Law. For that purpose, she participates to the work of the Belgian National Committee of International Humanitarian Law and co-presides the working groups Dissemination and International Conferences. She has worked on IHL activities towards different target audiences such as students, journalists, members of parliament, diplomats and the armed forces. She also represents the Belgian Red Cross-Flanders in the Scientific Committee, the General Assembly and Board of Directors of the Belgian Study Centre of Military Law and Law of War since 2013-2014.
