Koen Troch is a Lecturer in International Affairs at the Brussels School of Governance. Major Koen Troch is an active military from the Belgian armed forces. He teaches at the Royal Military Academy (RMA) at bachelor, master and Manama level on critical thinking, strategic studies and international security. He is actually the Erasmus Interinstitutional Coordinator of the RMA and member of the Implementation group of European Security and Defence College (ESDC). He obtained a master in Military and Social sciences from the RMA and a master in Political Science from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL). He is an alumni from the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP, NISC 2013 and Foresight) and from the General Risk Assessment and Crisis Management course of Vesalius College 

His interests include strategic studies, critical thinking and foresight. At the RMA he teaches the courses Critical ThinkingStrategic Studies and World Politics. At Vesalius College he teaches Military approaches to Security, Theories and Applied Issues of Global Peace, Security and Strategic Studies (together with A. Calcara) and History and Theory of Grand Strategy.
