Dr Hugo Meijer joined the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) of the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG-VUB) on 1 January 2022 as Senior Associate Researcher. He is CNRS Research Fellow at Sciences Po, Center for International Studies (Paris) and the Founding Director of The European Initiative for Security Studies. He is also Honorary Researcher at the Centre for War and Diplomacy, Lancaster University. He is currently working on several research projects: the reconfiguration of US-led alliance systems in Europe and in the Asia-Pacific; national defense and security policies in Europe; and European foreign and security policies in the face of a rising China.
