Gustaaf Cornelis (1966) is professor in philosophy of science. His doctorate (1995) regarded relativistic cosmology. His research focuses mainly on scientific integrity. He teaches (among other disciplines) scientific integrity, science communication, philosophical research skills, and philosophy of education. He is a member of the Ethical Committee for Animal Testing, Ethical Committee for the Social Sciences and the Humanities, Appeal Committee for Teaching Professionalization, Interfaculty Appeal Committee, the Quality Council, and he is chairperson of the Exam Committee of the Teacher Training Department. He is the Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Literature and Languages, and, last but not least, Ombudsperson for Vesalius College which is a member of the Brussels School of Governance.
