Andrew Crosby is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Migration, Diversity and Justice Research Centre at the Brussels School of Governance. Andrew has a degree in Philosophy and in International and European Law. He also holds a PhD in Sociology. He previously worked on border control and migration. In particular, his doctoral research looked at the immigration detention policy in Belgium and for which he conducted ethnographic fieldwork in different centres. He has also worked on border control practices at European airports.
Andrew’s research focuses on the Empower Youth project, a 4-year research programme on societal and civic participation of young people in Brussels.
