Dr. Bert Willekens is an Adjunct Professor in Business and Economics at the Brussels School of Governance. After finishing his PhD in Economics at KU Leuven in 2014, he worked as lecturer and researcher at the Economics Department of KU Leuven until September 2019, with interest in the fields of industrial organization and labor economics. In this period he also visited the Industrial Organization research group at Stanford University for 6 months. Since 2017 he is working as economic advisor at the Belgian Competition Authority, mainly occupied with evaluating merger proposals of large Belgian companies.
