The MEXT Scholarship, provided by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, is a highly competitive funding system that supports international students in pursuing higher education at Japanese universities. It aims to foster international exchange and understanding through education. Sofie's acceptance into this programme allows her to engage deeply with her field of study at Waseda University, known for its comprehensive research and education on Asia Pacific studies.
