Trade panel at European Business Summit 2019

Vesalius College (now: Brussels School of Governance), as knowledge partner to the prestigious European Business Summit 2019 in Brussels, organised a session on international trade called “Towards a More Forceful Trade Strategy in Perplexing Global Economy.”

The European Business Summit’s 2019 edition took place on 6th and 7th of May in the Egmont Palace in Brussels. It welcomed 1620 participants, 185 high-level speakers and 55 sessions moderated by journalists from CNN, Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, Deutsche Welle and Euronews, among others.

The European Business Summit is one of the most prestigious events in Europe where business leaders meet with policymakers, political leaders, academics and experts to discuss possible answers to the challenges and opportunities faced by the European continent and the European Union project. Vesalius College was represented by Dr. Sven Van Kerckhoven, Head of the Business Department and Dr. Nelson Dordelly Rosales, Head of the Law Department.

The list of panelists included Cecilia Malmström (EU Commissioner for Trade EU Commission), Marietje Schaake (Vice President Delegation for Relations with the United States, member of the European Parliament), Dr. S. Jaishankar (President Global Corporate Affairs, Tata Sons), Luisa Santos (Director of International Relations, Business Europe) and Erik Jonnaert (Secretary General, European Automobile Manufacturer’s Association).
