First phase of fieldwork in BRIDGES project completed

A team of researchers from our Centre for Migration, Diversity and Justice (Omar N. Cham, Prof. Florian Trauner & Prof. Ilke Adam) have completed the first phase of their fieldwork in The Gambia for the H2020-project BRIDGES. The fieldwork was organised with the Gambia National Youth Council and revolved around the theme 'How are migration narratives produced and what is their impact?' It was great to listen to what the Gambian youth had to say on migration. The Gambia, despite its small size, has seen a very large number of youngsters embark on dangerous migration routes to Europe.
