Digital Transformation in the EU: Video Series

The Centre for Digitalisation, Democracy and Innovation of the Brussels School of Governance partnered with the AWS Institute to offer an executive training on digital transformation of the European Union in September and October 2021.

The program was delivered over five weeks, consisting of three live interactive sessions on 1/ big trends and paradigm shifts in digital transformation, 2/ its impact on democracy and citizen interactions, and 3/ its impact on public sector organisations and internal processes. More information about the programme and speakers can be found here.

As part of our partnership, the Centre for Digitalisation, Democracy and Innovation and the Office for Teaching and Learning Innovation created seven on-demand explainer videos on digital transformation in the EU, which we are happy to release publicly!

These videos explore how digitalisation is transforming our public sectors and societies, ranging from Public Trust and Disinformation to Digital Sovereignty and Ethical AI, in short (15-30min) lectures. They provide snapshots of the latest research and policy insights, and thus serve as primers, on the respective topic.

In each video, we answer five key questions: What are we discussing? Why is the topic important? What does research tell us? How does digitalisation in this field impact the public sector and the EU? What are the key takeaways and next steps?

Our video series is suitable both for private use as well as educational course material. Enjoy — and don't hesitate to reach out!
