CSDS inaugurates two projects in Brussels under its Bridging Allies initiative

On 25 and 26 January, Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) launched two important projects in Brussels under its Bridging Allies Initiative.

On 25 January, we launched our new ''Futures in the Indo-Pacific'' project alongside the National Institute for Defense Studies (NIDS) from Tokyo, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), and the Center for International Studies (CERI) at Sciences-Po Paris. This two-year project, supported by the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme, will examine key strategic trends in the Indo-Pacific and their impact on NATO.

On 26 January, CSDS launched another two-year project in collaboration with the United States Studies Centre of the University of Sydney (USSC) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). This project aims to generate recommendations to strengthen practical cooperation between NATO and existing and new partners in the Indo-Pacific.

The launch of these two projects benefitted from the involvement of high-level speakers and participants from across Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea, Canada and the United States.

The next meetings will take place in Australia (Canberra and Sidney), Japan (Tokyo), United States (Washington D.C.) and France (Paris) in the months to come.
