Our School joins forces with SUNY once again for Model EU event in January 2020

In January 2020, a delegation of the Brussels School of Governance students will participate in the Model EU 2020, a large-scale event organised by the State University of New York (SUNY) and hosted by the Brussels School of Governance in Brussels.

During this SUNY Model EU, students and universities will represent country delegations in preparing to attend a European Council Summit. Students will have the chance to debate the biggest questions facing Europe, and will play the role of EU leaders and officials, drafting and debating a policy agenda that reflects the real contemporary problems faced by EU member states and the EU Presidency.

The SUNY Model EU is the longest continuous simulation of the European Union in the United States. It brings together over 150 students from EU member states and accession countries with students from New York State. It is organised annually by the University of New York and hosted by VeCo (now: Brussels School of Governance) every two years. It allows participating students to interact with their peers from across the Atlantic and engage in high-level discussions that truly prepare them for the first steps in their professional careers.
