On 4 and 12 May 2021, EuroMaster Programme management in close cooperation with our alumni representatives on the Programme Board organised two ‘meet our alumni’ events. Ten former students, who graduated between 2009 and 2020 hosted virtual rooms where they described their experiences in their respective professional fields and answered questions from current students. The event brought the ‘university experience’ from the Advanced Master in European Integration (‘EuroMaster’) Programme to life for the current students, who were able to build up their networks. The alumni who participated are currently employed in the European Institutions, the Belgian diplomatic corps, Flemish business organisations and a number of consultancies and not-for-profit organisations that are active in the European/international policy scene. One of the alumni said: “was happy to find like-minded young professionals [...]. We are already connected via LinkedIn and intend to stay in touch for further exchanges on our favourite topics”.
All students who participate in the EuroMaster Programme were invited to take part in this event, which will be repeated several times per year. This type of event is part of our commitment to our students to ensure that we engage with ‘the heart of Brussels’ in our educational offering in practical as well as academic ways.
