On Friday, November 25th, students from the course entitled the UN and Global Governance, taught by Dr. Christina Bache, and students from the model UN club visited the UN House in Brussels. Mr. Riccardo Trobbiani and Isabella Rosso provided an overview of the aims of the UN, highlighting how the UN has responded to the many economic and social consequences of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Following their remarks, students asked questions regarding how the UN responds to the growing mistrust in institutions, the climate crisis, and gender inequality, all issues that require a concerted effort by many stakeholders, including the UN, to address.
