BSoG students participate in selection of #NataliPrize 2021 Winners as part of Capstone project

Launched in 1992 to honour courage in journalism, the Lorenzo Natali Media Prize rewards the excellence of journalists reporting about the stories that matter on the topics of inequality, poverty eradication, sustainable development, environment, biodiversity, climate action, digital, jobs and employment, education and skills development, migration, healthcare, and peace, democracy and human rights. Its community has become a global platform to the stories giving a voice to those whose vital message is often overlooked.

In 2021, the winners of this Prize will be chosen by a Grand Jury of experts in the fields of journalism and development, in which the Brussels School of Governance will have a role. As a part of their Communication Capstone class lead by Prof. Georgios Terzis, BSoG students will contribute to the pre-selection phase and in doing so, support the #NataliPrize Community. Two other universities involved in the pre-selection phase are Universidade Catolica Portuguesa (UCP) (Portugal) and Université St Joseph (USJ) (Lebanon). This year’s winners of #NataliPrize will be announced in the 1st half of June 2021.
