BSoG student Marius Houwen among young leaders on Santander-CIDOB 35 under 35 List

We are very proud to announce that our student Marius Houwen is among 35 young leaders on the Santander-CIDOB 35 under 35 List, which acknowledges the work of 35 potential and consolidated minds of 35 or less years of age. Marius is an MA student at the Brussels School of Governance, studying the Master programme in Global Security and Strategy.

The guiding question of the 3rd edition of the CIDOB Future Leaders Forum (8 November 2022), organized by CIDOB, Barcelona Centre for International Affairs and Banco Santander was: "How can the European Union achieve digital strategic autonomy?" While Marius advocated for digital autonomy, he argued that the momentum behind digital strategic autonomy should not overshadow the current European reality. For digital strategic autonomy to become feasible, Europe has to first face that our current capabilities do not line up with our ambition.
