Trilateral Trade Cooperation among the United States, South Korea and the European Union

Thursday 13 October 2022, 09:30 to 12:00
KEIA, Washington DC

The global trade environment has been increasingly uncertain due to de-globalization, protectionism, and regionalization of the global supply chains. These trends have only been hastened by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In this environment, new issues such as economic security, digital trade, climate change, and environment are emerging. These changes have heightened the need for trade cooperation among the EU, Korea, and the United States. For this, we need to go beyond traditional trade policies such as FTAs.

Please join KEI, KIEP, the KF-VUB Korea Chair, and GWIKS for a discussion by former senior officials and experts on the policies necessary to address these new trade issues. The event will take place on 13th Oct, 9:30am - 12:00pm EDT in Washington DC. Please see more information here. The event recording is available here.
