This KF Global Center press event is held in the framework of a KF-VUB Korea Chair presentation week that will feature daily visits to a wide range of Korean government institutions, universities and organisations based in Seoul.
The KF-VUB Korea Chair is the primary contact point in Europe on policy issues related to Korea and the Korean Peninsula. It is the first and only such Chair in Europe. It is a joint initiative between the Korea Foundation (KF) and Free University of Brussels (VUB), and it plays a strategic role in furthering Europe-Korea relations and increasing knowledge about Korea. The Chair acts as an independent platform across Europe and conducts policy research and discussions on a wide range of areas including nuclear weapons and WMD, trade, finance, cyber security, counter-terrorism, climate change and science and technology, among others.
The presenting team consists of:
Dr Ramon Pacheco Pardo, KF-VUB Korea Chair at the Institute for European Studies and Senior Lecturer in International Relations at King’s College London
Dr Tongfi Kim, Korea Chair Senior Researcher and Assistant Professor of International Affairs at Vesalius College in Brussels
Ms Linde Desmaele, PhD researcher in the International Security cluster of the Institute for European Studies.
