Keynote Lecture by Mr. Jurek Kuczkiewicz on EU Policy Making: Leadership in Times of Crisis

We are happy to present you the keynote speaker of this year’s online Summer School on EU Policy Making.

The keynote lecture will be delivered by Mr Jurek Kuczkiewicz, Strategic advisor communications & media to the EU Council President Charles Michel.

Mr Kuczkiewicz will share his insights on Leadership in Times of Crisis, followed by a Q&A session.

 

Biography:

Jurek Kuczkiewicz, Strategic Advisor Communication & Media to the European Council President Charles Michel
Jurek Kuczkiewicz joined the cabinet of Charles Michel on the 1st December of 2019, at the start of his mandate of President of the European Council. His tasks cover general advice on communications, press relations, and relations with think tanks and academics.
Kuczkiewicz devoted most of his career to the media sector. As a journalist in the written press, from 1986 to 1991 then with Le Soir from 2002 to the end of 2019, he first reported on business, then on foreign affairs and the EU, holding several editing positions. From 1991 to 2002, Kuczkiewicz worked as a business executive in the media sector, in Belgium and in Poland.
Jurek Kuczkiewicz was born in Belgium, has Belgian & Polish citizenships, and speaks 5 languages (French, Polish, English, Dutch and Portuguese) fluently. He is the author of a book on the Polish identity: Pologne. La noblesse de la terre, Collection « L’Ame des peuples », Ed. Nevicata, 2013.
