On September 17-19, 2021 Russia will hold elections to its legislative assembly, Duma. This election present an opportunity to examine closely the inner workings of the Putin regime, skillful use of state resources for voter mobilization and electoral manipulation, internal contestation among elites and subsequent distribution of spoils. This roundtable will examine the inner workings of the Putin political machine and will assess implications of this elections for Russia’s domestic and foreign policies.
