Conspiracy against the truth podcast

In: De Standaard

On 30 April 2021, the Hannah Arendt Institute and De Standaard launched a new podcast series titled 'Conspiracy against the truth'. In five episodes they investigate not only the driving forces behind conspiracy theories, but also what you can do about them. The series (in Dutch) is available on the DS podcast app and on Spotify. Listen to the trailer here.

In the podcast, various experts are put forward who explain the phenomenon with clear examples. One of them is Nathalie Van Raemdonck, a PhD researcher linked to the Centre for Digitalisation, Democracy and Innovation (CD2I) at the Brussels School of Governance. Through her experience with cyber diplomacy, she was closely involved in the development of the podcast. In several episodes, Van Raemdonck, together with other experts, explains how conspiracy theories arise, how they are spread and above all: where the danger lies.
