On 22 November, the Brussels School of Governance hosted a thought-provoking lecture featuring Dr. Christina Bache, and Dr. Koert Debeuf. The focus of their discussion was centered around the question: "What hope is there for sustainable peace in the Israel-Palestine conflict?" Exploring the possibility of a future marked by the absence of both personal and structural violence, the speakers delved into envisioning what such a peace could entail.
Key questions addressed during the lecture included: What might a lasting peace in Israel/Palestine look like? And, importantly, what role does the international and regional community play in shaping the path toward peace, both in the present and the foreseeable future?
The event was open to all BSoG students and staff, providing a platform for engaging dialogue on the complex and crucial issues surrounding the pursuit of sustainable peace in the region.
